The all new 2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid is identical in almost every way to the new Ford Fusion Hybrid also being shown in LA. No big deal, it's a good car. The only real differences are the body panels and interior trim. The Milan Hybrid uses recycled materials to cover its seats, not leather. Is this in an effort to appear more environmentally friendly? Surely.

We'll go out on a limb here and say the Milan Hybrid — which will likely get 38 mpg in the EPA city cycle — will cost only slightly more than a Fusion Hybrid. And with the Milan joining Ford's hybrid fleet, the company brag that it now offers four hybrids rather than just two. And there are probably some people who will prefer the Milan's re-skinning to that of the new Fusion's. Expect to see the new Hybrids hitting dealers in the spring of 2009.
